Our client, a respected Jacksonville, Florida based company, is growing and adding staff to their team. The company offers growth potential, proven leadership and an excellent culture.
As a Property Accountant you will be responsible for the following:
- Input new tenants and update current tenant information
- Update charges monthly and on an as needed basis
- Apply tenant receipts to outstanding charges
- Track overage balances, and provide tenants with up- to- date statements
- Create monthly billbacks for tenants and applying charge to tenant ledger
- Monitor property cash flow to ensure outstanding balances may be covered
- Verify and code outstanding payables
- Process payment for outstanding payables by listed due date
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations
- Prepare quarterly financial statements
- Assist with annual budget preparation
- Complete quarterly and annual reconciliations for CAM, insurance and real estate tax
- Calculate and submit monthly sales tax for all properties in portfolio
- Preparing worksheets demonstrating GAAP compliance
Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance and 1-2 years of applicable accounting experience. Non-degreed candidates with 3+ years of property accounting experience may also be considered.
- Must have the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities or processes while maintaining a positive outlook.
- Strong personal initiative, enthusiasm, results orientation and resourcefulness; exhibits sense of ownership and a commitment to achieving the organization’s goals.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and relate effectively, productively, and positively with other Associates.
- Dependable, punctual, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn property management accounting processes, including use of any industry specific software.
- Typing and data entry skills.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and accounting systems
· Client is currently in office 5x week.
· Long term 4 days in office / 1x WFH available.

Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 annually + bonus potential
