Responsibilities
- Apply strong knowledge of debits and credits in daily accounting activities
- Perform Accounts Receivable reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Process and reconcile cash receipts
- Support program accounting activities (not corporate or traditional accrual accounting)
- Conduct heavy research, particularly related to student withdrawals and account adjustments
- Maintain and analyze large volumes of data in Excel, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Prepare and manage student accounting transactions, requiring a high level of visibility and precision
- Utilize advanced Excel functions, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and other data analysis tools
- Participate in and support ad hoc projects as assigned
- Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to pivot as business needs evolve
- Associate's degree in Accounting or a related field (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline (preferred)
- Basic understanding of the General Ledger (GL)
- Experience with debits and credits, AR reconciliations, and cash receipts
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Advanced Excel proficiency required; candidates should be comfortable working extensively in Excel
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
