Senior Tax Associate

Base pay range: $90,000.00/yr - $/yr

This is the first key hire of a new chapter at a boutique CPA firm in Jacksonville, Florida. The firm is in the final stages of a change in ownership and has a strong focus on tax and accounting with a small audit component.

• Tax & Accounting focused, with a small audit component
• Just over $1M in firm revenue
• Tight-knit team of 6–8 people
• Long‑term plan to grow the firm and add more staff over time

This is a hands‑on, client‑facing position with real responsibility from day one. You’ll be the go‑to person for the clients.

• Preparing and reviewing tax returns (individual and business)
• Managing client relationships directly
• Working closely with CPAs on complex work
• Taking ownership of engagements rather than passing work down a chain
• Helping shape processes as the firm grows under new ownership

• 3+ years of public accounting experience
• Strong tax foundation in a small or mid‑sized firm
• Comfortable preparing and reviewing returns
• CPA preferred, or actively planning to pursue it
• Someone who wants to grow into a Manager‑level role over time
