A well‑established organization in Jacksonville is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to take ownership of key accounting functions and play a visible role in the company’s financial operations. • Lead month‑end and year‑end close activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all financial processes
• Prepare and review complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and provide insights to management
• Maintain and enhance general ledger structure, internal controls, and accounting procedures
• Assist with financial statement preparation, audit support, and regulatory reporting
• Partner with operations, finance, and leadership teams to ensure accurate financial data flow and resolve accounting issues
• Support process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives
• Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, promoting best practices and development

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA‑track preferred)
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting, corporate accounting, or a blend)
• Strong understanding of GAAP and advanced accounting concepts
• Proficiency with Excel and experience working within an ERP environment
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and communicate findings clearly
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
