The Recreation Worker will act as a lead in personal interpretation of cultural, historical, and natural resources while providing support to guests in an outdoor environment. Responsibilities may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

• Lead guests on organized and educational excursions.
• Provide leadership and training for Level I & II guides.
• Greet guests, orient them on safety, equipment, etiquette, area regulations, safety procedures, and resource protection.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures to ensure guest safety.
• Ensure guide compliance with Operations Manual and Contracts.
• Be familiar with MSDS sheets, using this information when necessary.
• Test communications equipment prior to operation.
• Provide support and reassurance to clients as a knowledgeable guide.
• Educate guests on local ecology, geology, history, and culture; answer questions.
• Interpret in a variety of settings.
• Choreograph tours to educate and engage visitors of all ages and backgrounds.
• Adhere to cash handling policies and procedures.
• Ensure security of company assets and a safe work environment through daily maintenance and housekeeping.
• Work in conditions involving exposure to unusual elements and extreme temperatures.
• Mantain excellent customer service and a positive demeanor toward guests, clients, and coworkers.

• Training in First Aid protocols such as Wilderness First Responder, Wilderness Advanced First Aid, Wilderness EMT, or EMT/Paramedic preferred.
• Multilingual skills a plus.
• Extensive experience guiding in a similar environment.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for varied amounts of time.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Availability to work flexible hours.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. It may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
