Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Jackson, Tennessee — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.

• Hourly Pay $17.25 per hour
• Overtime Pay $25.87 per hour
• Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour when assigned to Night Shift
• Schedule:
  
  5:30 PM – 6:00 AM, Rotating 2‑2‑3 schedule

We want the right Warehouse Associate to join us at Ryder and work in the Safest Supply Chain Environment with State of the Art Equipment.

Products handled: Food products

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to be a team player and to work in a diverse environment
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels
• Highly thorough and dependable
• Must be punctual with a good attendance record
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision
• Possesses high initiative
• Demonstrates high accuracy even under pressure
• Ability to lift and/or push or pull up to 35 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to work using health and safety methods
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule on various shifts
• Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Accurately pick and pack, audit, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks
• Handle day‑to‑day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours
• Perform other duties as assigned
