Job Requirements & Duties- You must be 18 years of age or older.
- You must possess a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record that meets company standards.
- You must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- You should demonstrate strong navigation skills—able to read maps, locate addresses within the delivery area, and navigate multi‑story buildings and challenging terrain.
- Operate all product‑processing equipment.
- Stock ingredients and supplies from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product according to company standards.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facilities daily.
- Participate in on‑the‑job training and orientation programs.
- Comprehend and provide written instructions accurately.
- Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers both over the phone and in person.
- Accurate and efficient basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using a calculator when necessary.
- Make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, written, and telephone skills for taking and processing orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands to perform rapid, precise movements quickly.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions during outdoor tasks.
- In‑store temperatures ranging from 36°F to 90°F or higher.
- Sudden changes in temperature while inside and outside.
- Fumes from food odors and cornmeal dust.
- Cramped quarters, including walk‑in cooler.
- Hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F or higher.
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
- Ability to talk and hear on the telephone.
- Near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks; depth perception required.
- Distinguish between hot and cold surfaces.
- Direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, and work alone or with others while working under stress.
- Meet quality control standards, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
- Standing: most tasks are performed from a standing position.
- Walking: for short distances for short durations over surfaces such as ceramic tile and tile bricks with linoleum.
- Sitting: paperwork is normally completed at a desk or table.
- Lifting: bulk product deliveries of up to 50 pounds and stacking of shelves up to 72 feet high.
- Carrying: large cans, sauce, dough, etc., weighing from a few pounds to 30 pounds.
- Pushing/Pulling: move trays on dollies; a stack on a dolly may weigh 24‑30 pounds, requiring a push of up to 7.5 pounds.
- Climbing: navigate stairs or climb a ladder to change prices on signs, wash walls, or perform maintenance.
Many team members begin as delivery drivers and advance to management, general manager, franchisee, or corporate roles, providing a clear path to leadership and ownership.
