Hours/Day: 7.5
Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Monday to Friday)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Building Maintenance Worker 1 to join our team. This role involves performing various maintenance tasks and repairs to ensure the upkeep and safety of the facility.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in skilled labor or trade work.
- Preferred certifications in electrical or plumbing.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Perform carpentry tasks related to building construction and maintenance.
- Install and repair electrical outlets, circuits, switches, fans, and lighting fixtures.
- Install and repair plumbing fixtures, water/drainage lines, and sewage systems.
- Paint and maintain both interior and exterior building surfaces.
- Conduct repairs and adjustments to heating, refrigeration, laundry, and air conditioning systems.
- Operate a wide range of tools and equipment, including hand tools, saws, drills, welding equipment, and more.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed, using personal protective equipment when necessary.
- Perform grounds maintenance and custodial duties as required.
- Maintain records of time spent and materials used.
- Provide training to other staff when needed.
- Background checks are required, including fingerprinting through TBI, FBI, DCS, TN Registry of Sexual Offenders, and TN Registry of Abuse.
- On-site position.
