Overview

Integrated Communications Inc, IC Wireless is currently seeking a Telecommunication Specialist for the Jackson Tennessee location.

Integrated Communications Inc has over 25-years of Land and mobile Radio, Video Surveillance and Wireless solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Adjusts controls and tests systems using specified equipment and runs diagnostic checks.
  • Installs fixed radio, BDA/DAS and wireless communications equipment consistent with manufacturer and company guidelines.
  • Troubleshoots customer concerns and resolve issues with their communications system in the field and in the shop.
  • 3rd tier support of Telco communications
  • Pulling cables
  • Installs, repairs, and maintains equipment as indicated by results of testing and coordinate repairs with customers/vendors to ensure resolution of problem.
  • Maintains operation of complex radio systems and 911 communications centers.
  • Install tower rooms and work on cell phone boosters.
  • Smart work – Routers, switches, subnetting and T1 lines
  • Completes installation of radio and wireless mobile and base communications systems.

Skills and Abilities

  • Requires thorough knowledge of wireless communications systems, electronic and RF principles, and Net Suite operations.
  • Must have the ability to work in complex radio systems with minimal supervision.
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot problems with communications systems and use optimizations and basic system design skills.
  • Ability to repair and maintain operation of complex radio systems and 911 communications centers. Thorough knowledge of infrastructure components including repeaters, mobiles, portables, and miscellaneous signaling equipment. Knowledge of industry-standard test equipment.

Basic Qualifications

  • Over 2 years of experience in 2-way radio and wireless communication systems theory.
  • Ability to use computer and program, troubleshoot, perform diagnostics, and repair complex communication systems.
  • Experience in diagnostics, repair, maintenance, program wireless communication equipment such as 2-way radios, transmitters, receivers, antennas for customers.
  • LMR experience
  • The ability to travel site to site and overnight.
  • Have a valid driver’s license (Vehicle is provided for this role)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or vocational school in electronics and wireless system repair is preferred but not required.
  • Licenses,

    Certifications:

    An industry license (FCC, FICA or NARTE). A valid driver license and insurability in the state of employment. CET or NABER certification.
