Job DescriptionPerform a wide variety of maintenance and repair operations necessary to keep plant, equipment, machinery, and tools in good operating condition; working in many various and diversified capacities required in maintenance, including, but not limited to, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, welding, fabrication, etc.

Primary duties include, but are not limited to, completion of a variety of duties pertaining to different techniques of maintenance functions using a variety of hand tools; taking care to properly dismantle, repair, lubricate, reassemble, or otherwise work in general maintenance on hydraulics, pneumatics, pipe fitting, assembling, and installation; performing basic electrical maintenance repair on noncomplex circuitry; adjusting, cleaning, or lubricating equipment as preventive maintenance;
tearing down, replacing, repairing, assembling, and installing standard, non-complex equipment, parts, components, and accessories; performing work in other maintenance crafts as necessary, such as burning, welding, fabricating, machining, and other duties and work assignments as required and directed; performing reliability & preventive maintenance checks and activities; preparing & submitting work orders, parts reservations, etc.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred qualifications include formal training/certification in industrial maintenance.
- Proficiency in at least one of the basic crafts of electrician, millwright, fabricator, welder, or vehicle mechanic.
- Understanding of shop mathematics with the use of drawings, specifications, charts, tables, and precision measuring instruments.
- Working knowledge of computer applications and software.
- Basic knowledge of one or more of the following maintenance disciplines: AC/DC motors, gearbox maintenance, lubrication principles, welding, cutting torch, fabrication, NFPA 70E, and common maintenance hand tools.
