The Stylist is responsible for providing and maintaining a positive, friendly, empathetic, and professional selling experience with all customers. Stylists provide 5‑Star Customer Service to all David’s Bridal customers, achieve sales goals and productivity by following the 5‑Step Selling Process, and perform duties related to the presentation and operations of the store. The Stylist reports to the Store Manager in partnership with the Sales Manager.
Bridal Stylists are brand ambassadors and demonstrate the values and critical success factors of the David’s Bridal brand.
- Welcome all customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm over the phone and in person, communicate clearly and concisely, and adapt style to suit customers.
- Use all systems to manage customer flow and deliver a 5‑Star experience (Appointments/Customers/Point of Sale system). Use iPad tools to research and communicate product information enthusiastically.
- Provide exceptional service to multiple customers simultaneously and contribute to the store’s 5‑Star achievement. Proactively address concerns, and partner with leadership for escalation when needed.
- Prepare for appointments by reviewing customer profiles and setting up fitting rooms.
- Build relationships by welcoming customers, asking questions, and listening to understand their needs.
- Strive to find the perfect gown within the first three try‑ons.
- Review the timeline calendar and set future appointments aligned with customer needs; follow up to remind/set future sales.
- Communicate the importance of alterations, partner with Alterations Specialists for appointments, and promote services to achieve an 80% conversion of brides sold to alterations.
- Ensure proper measurements are taken and recorded accurately.
- Maintain store standards (clean, organized, promotional readiness) and report any damage to management.
- Maintain high dress‑code standards for the Stylist.
- Offer the loyalty & partners program to support one‑stop life‑event shopping.
- Respond promptly to all customer questions, providing accurate product and service information.
- Build relationships to meet or exceed customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Maintain sales productivity using the 5‑Step Selling Process.
- Support all cash wrap behaviors and process transactions accurately.
- Consistently achieve a 65% or greater platform conversion.
- Achieve add‑on goals: headpiece 75%, foundations 10%, shoes 20%.
- Set appointments for complete wedding parties (bridesmaids, mother‑of‑the‑bride, flower girl).
- Become a trusted advisor by completing training and building fashion trend expertise.
- Strive to become a Circle of Excellence member by exceeding sales targets.
- Execute new processes, behaviors, contests, and programs as assigned.
