American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring Epic proficiency within the last 12 months and an active TN or Compact RN license.

• Fast-paced Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• No on-call requirements
• Floating may be required to other Med/Surg Telemetry units or low-acuity ICU
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Charting in Epic (experience required within the last 12 months)
• Cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and dysrhythmia interpretation are core components of daily work
• Required clinical skills include cardiac monitoring, telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy, blood product administration, central/PICC line management, heparin protocols, PCA management, chest tube management, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Preferred skills include management of dysrhythmias, pre/post cardiac cath, post-MI care, IV insulin protocols, pre/post neurosurgery, CVA management, seizure and spinal cord injury care, TBI, ortho trauma, total joint replacement, and peripheral nerve block catheters
• Epic competency exam is required — only one attempt is allowed
• All RTO (requested time off) must be submitted at the time of application; additional RTO will not be approved after submission
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Men must be clean-shaven to pass the required Fit Test; failure due to facial hair is not accepted
• Previous charge nurse experience is preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• Active RN license — TN state license or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA only), ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Teaching hospital or community hospital experience preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration
• SSN and valid government‑issued photo  (driver's license) required for consideration
• DOB required for consideration
