Reporting to the Manager Plant Engineering, you will maintain and implement Conagra’s Process Safety Management (PSM) Program for ammonia refrigeration systems to ensure regulatory compliance, operational safety, and continuous improvement across the facility. You will collaborate with internal partners and external contractors to support documentation, training, audits, and ongoing system integrity.
A Taste of Your Responsibilities- Maintain and implement Conagra’s Process Safety Management Program for ammonia refrigeration systems in alignment with OSHA PSM and EPA Risk Management Program regulations.
- Manage, update, and retain all PSM and RMP documentation, including oversight of the Management of Change process.
- Coordinate refrigeration technician training (OJT/OJE), maintain training documentation, and ensure timely completion of refresher training.
- Review and certify standard operating procedures annually with operators, ensuring system repairs and installations follow Conagra engineering and safety standards.
- Schedule and facilitate monthly PSM meetings, update the PSM Scorecard, and develop action plans to close gaps.
- Participate in internal and external audits, lead corrective action planning, and communicate progress to plant leadership.
- Communicate PSM and environmental, health, and safety policies, lead incident investigations, and report environmental incidents to corporate and regulatory agencies as required.
- Support day‑to‑day refrigeration operations, monitor preventive maintenance activities, and ensure repairs and corrective actions are properly documented.
- Serve as liaison between refrigeration operators, safety, and engineering teams to evaluate risks and support system changes.
- High School diploma or GED required; vocational training or coursework preferred.
- 2+ years of process safety management experience.
- Knowledge of OSHA Process Safety Management and EPA Risk Management Program regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with SAP‑PM or other CMMS systems.
- Build relationships across all levels.
- Willingness to work other shifts, holidays, or weekends as needed.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems and mechanical integrity programs.
- RETA CARO certification preferred.

Compensation
Pay Range:$63,000-$93,000The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
