Position: **1st Shift**  Inspector Packer

JOB SUMMARY

Required to perform tasks involved in the production, inspection and packing of Altor Solutions’ products. Reports to the appropriate individual (Quality, Set Up Technician, Production Supervisor) if products do not meet company quality standards. Must follow Altor Solutions’ standards for Safety, Housekeeping, Quality and Production in an efficient and safe manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Remove product from conveyor belt and place into drying racks, boxes, or bags.
  • Pack product into drying racks, boxes, or bags.
  • Use heavy‑duty tape machines to cut tape and wrap product for storage and delivery.
  • Lifts and removes completed boxes or bags and places them on/in designated locations, wagons, or pallets.
  • Receive verbal and written job assignments; read and comply with product description and packing instructions on Quality/Production Data sheet.
  • Complete “Operator Production/Quality Report,” packing report, worksheets and/or “special” customer requirement inspection forms where required.
  • Perform visual inspections and/or use measuring devices such as scales, steel rule and calipers to ensure acceptable finished product quality; notify supervisor of discrepancies and record required information on Operator Quality Report.
  • Inventory tape, labeling, bags, boxes, or drying racks and notify Material Handler of items needed.
  • Observe machine operation to detect defects with finished product and notify supervisor of any problems.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures and immediately notify supervisor of any production, quality or safety issues or concerns.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and keep a neat and organized work導航 always.
  • Notify supervisor of need to be away from machine ischem shift.
  • Ass DEL provide assistance with material handling and assist others with less experience in the position.
  • Verify quality specifications for product.
  • Pack and inspect product at a rate of up to 60 parts per minute and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ensure assigned production-contro-approved line meets established quality and product standards; familiarize with daily production goals for each line assignment.
  • Operate production line equipment to inspect, pack and/or count products automatically or manually according to established production standards.
  • After packing, seal and label each package properly and move completed packages for loading onto a pallet.
  • Enter data correctly in ERP.
  • Start and stop pressing and know the location of emergency buttons; understand lockout/tag‑out policy.
  • Identify the difference between good prints, print rejects, set‑up rejects, and manufacturer rejects.
  • Accurately calculate all print and manufacturer rejects to account for all containers assigned to the production order.
  • Identify various foam specifications and distinguish their types.
  • Understand various box labels (Box/Case labels, Work‑In‑Process (WIP) labels, reject labels, Partial Carton labels) and place them correctly on the box.
  • Wear PPE properly in accordance with company standards.
  • Keep area around workstation clean and free from dirt and debris; may include cleaning assigned areas or equipment as instructed.
  • Work assigned shifts, including overtime and after‑hour meetings as needed.
  • Communicate with coworkers and leadership about safetyสัตย์, housekeeping, quality, and production issues.
  • Follow plant‑specified job training guideline.
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 3–6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write and understand basic math.
