Position

Second Shift MIG Welder – Production at MAT Industries LLC, Jackson, TN (213 Industrial Dr., Jackson, TN 38301).

Compensation

$21.85 per hour + $2.50 shift differential
. Sign‑On Bonus: $1,000
. 2nd shift:
Monday‑Thursday 3:30 pm – 2:00 am, with overtime on Fridays.

Responsibilities
  • Weld in a fast‑paced assembly line
  • MIG welding multiple attachments – 12 gauge to .179" brackets and tubing
  • Perform ASME certification welds – 6" vertical down weld with full penetration on .094 material, gap .052"
  • Ensure welds to code, free of defects, and cosmetically acceptable
  • Follow safety regulations and encourage co‑workers to do so
  • Read and interpret blueprints or welding specifications
  • Operate gas‑metal arc welding, flux‑cored arc welding equipment
  • Assemble and MIG weld parts per drawings and verbal instruction
  • Inspect work quality and conduct quality inspections
  • Maintain equipment, report maintenance and safety concerns
  • Perform repairs, modifications, and retrofits on production items
  • Provide data for project status monitoring
  • Assist in training junior employees and inspecting their work
  • Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects
  • Sign off on completed work orders and quality of work
  • Maintain knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques
  • Participate in LEAN manufacturing culture initiatives
  • Perform non‑hand welding duties as required to meet customer demand
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Relevant MIG welding experience and ability to pass on‑site MIG weld test
  • Capable of working scheduled 2nd shift
