- Position Type:
Full-time, non‑exempt, hourly supervisor role.
- Supervises a single program or unit within a program, typically supporting 4‑8 individuals in residential settings or 10‑15 individuals in periodic, vocational or day programs.
- Duties are split between direct support, professional or program activities, and supervision.
- Works 8 to 16 flexible hours per week in a supervisory capacity and provides direct support for the remaining hours.
- Supervise Direct Support Professionals.
- Oversee day‑to‑day program operations, including delivery of supports, implementation of person‑centered plans, health care, advocacy, customer engagement, regulatory compliance, and, when applicable, oversight of the physical environment.
- Assist in recruitment, hiring, scheduling, training, evaluation, discipline, and termination of Direct Support Professionals.
- Maintain service documentation, billing, census data, and program records for accuracy and compliance.
- Manage health care responsibilities such as monitoring health, scheduling appointments, administering medications, and maintaining medical supplies and equipment.
- Engage with stakeholders—individuals, families, case managers—to provide service excellence and meet customer service standards.
- Perform financial management duties including purchasing, billing, utilization, budgeting, and safeguarding individuals’ funds.
- Manage census capture, performance, and placement activities to ensure accurate service delivery.
- Ensure maintenance of vehicles, living environments, and equipment, and oversee repairs and safety inspections.
- Perform other duties and activities as required, including back filling roles under your supervision.
- Provide direct support regularly scheduled shifts as a Direct Support Professional.
- Document as required, reviewing records, billing, and other documentation for accuracy and completion daily.
- Assist the Program Director in development of individual program plans and train staff on plan implementation.
- Attend and assist with routine progress meetings.
- Assist in maintaining licensing compliance, implementing compliance plans, and managing individual rights.
- Ensure safety of individuals’ funds and property; monitor spending and reconcile accounts monthly.
- Document or assist in incident reports and submit to the Program Director.
- Compile census or attendance information, review data for accuracy, and submit to billing authorities.
- Monitor health, document, and communicate with medical professionals; implement preventive strategies.
- Schedule or assist with healthcare appointments, accompany individuals, and document visits.
- Administer or support medication administration, document delivery, and review medication records.
- Purchase and maintain medical supplies and equipment in consultation with the Program Director.
- Develop and oversee dietary planning and food service consistent with individual plans.
- Maintain productive and professional relations with individuals, families, case managers, and other stakeholders.
- Implement Sevita Customer Service Standards and train Direct Support Professionals in delivery.
- Assist with recruitment and hiring of Direct Support Professionals.
- Populate and maintain schedules to assure coverage and minimize overtime.
- Provide onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training; verify training records.
- Conduct annual evaluations for Direct Support Professionals.
- Coach employees, enforce discipline, and participate in termination decisions as needed.
- Ensure employee safety and compliance with workers’ compensation and safety standards.
- Lead monthly program meetings for Direct Support Professionals and document agendas and attendance.
