Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop student learning outcomes.
Create course objectives.
Implement and instruct students using various instructional modes for traditional, hybrid or online setting.
Execute teaching strategies, monitor, and evaluate student progress, and maintain accurate student records.
Advise and mentor students.
Serve on various college committees.
Participate in department, division, and college meetings.
Attend scheduled business program / colloquial, division, and college staff meetings.
Contribute to the college and community environment.
Teaching 4-5 classes (12-15 hours) each semester.

Qualifications:

A Doctorate in Criminal Justice is preferred.
Masters degree with 18 graduate hours in Criminal Justice will be considered.
Candidate should have experience in teaching a minimum of 3-4 of the following courses:
Introduction to Criminal Justice, Criminal Investigations, Corrections, Constitutional Law, Criminology, Ethics in Criminal Justice, Juvenile Corrections, and Police Administration.
The ideal candidate will have familiarity with Blackboard, hybrid courses, and the ability to utilize innovative modalities for delivering course content.
The ability to lift 10lb, 1% of the time.
Position may require some walking and the ability to climb stairs.
