Customer Service Rep, Call Center / Support, Bilingual, Bank Customer Service
Greets customers to accept direct payment for utility services, processes mail payments and insures proper credit. Must be able to work flexible hours at various JEA locations – North Customer Center and Downtown Office. Hours range from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Education/ExperienceHigh school diploma (or GED). Demonstrated ability to make accurately and quickly and operate input keyboard and a 10 key calculator.
Skills/AbilitiesGood communication skills are required.
Certifications/LicensesNone.
Physical DemandsThe ability to use a computer keyboard effectively. The ability to communicate orally by telephone and person-to-person. The ability to operate a standard equipped company vehicle safely. The ability to read printed material.
Work EnvironmentIndoor office conditions. Assigned work location and work hours are determined by the supervisor and may be adjusted as needed.
TelephoneMust maintain an operating telephone and furnish the number to his/her supervisor.
Essential Functions- Accepts payment for customer utility bills.
- Posts credit to customer accounts.
- Balances cash drawer and meets accuracy guidelines.
- Posts credits to customer accounts.
- Performs routine online customer inquiries.
- Notifies Dispatcher of all paid accounts.
- Activates service requests.
- Performs additional duties as requested.
