Industrial Customer Service Representative

Martin Inc. invites applications for the Industrial Customer Service Representative position. The role reports to the Customer Service Manager and supports the company’s mission to "Help Companies Operate Better".

Description

As a Customer Service Representative (CSR) you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our customers. Your main responsibilities will include providing timely and accurate support, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining strong relationships. With strong communication and problem‑solving skills, you will assist customers with inquiries, process orders, and address any concerns or issues they may have.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build strong customer relationships by providing excellent service, acting as the primary liaison between customers and Martin, and promptly addressing any issues.
  • Assist customers with product selection, order placement, order management, pricing, invoicing, and delivery.
  • Prepare and track quotes using CSD, Excel, or other programs as.
  • Enter and track customer orders from inception through delivery.
  • Expedite customer products or raw materials as required.
  • Communicate with sales as required to assist customers with setup, parts, and daily operations.
  • Demonstrate consistent, professional, customer‑oriented, dependable, and on‑time performance.
  • Maintain professionalism and composure in a dynamic, team‑based environment where priorities change quickly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize for optimum customer satisfaction.
  • Effective communication with customers, sales, suppliers, and team members.
  • Decision‑making based on available information.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions within specified time frames.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office and general computer skills.
  • Experience with CSD software preferred.
  • Two years of experience in Industrial Supply or Safety Product Customer Service preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
