- Net Suite Highly Preferred
- Must live within commuting distance of Jackson, TN – no relocation assistance.
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for paying invoices accurately and on time so that Ascend maintains a good credit rating, enabling us to continue our operations.
ACCOUNTABILITIES- Complete timely and accurate disbursement of Accounts Payable payments.
- Process invoices, obtaining approvals from operations.
- Code and allocate expenses based on work invoiced
- Adhere to company processes and controls related to Accounts Payable.
- Communicate and build rapport with Vendors by being accurate and clear.
- Assist with 1099 preparation as required.
- Completion of copying, filing, checking mail, and other items as needed.
- Assist accounting staff with other items as needed.
- Deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Identify opportunities to continuously improve results and provide suggestions.
- Prior experience in accounts payable, the ability to work with large data sets.
- Must be proficient at typing and 10-key.
- Knowledge of Net Suite preferred
- Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results.
- Ability to promote a culture of trust and safety.
- High school diploma or GED.
