The primary role of the Licensed Practical Nurse is to provide clinical support under the direction of clinical supervisors and/or RN professionals to ensure smooth patient flow and physician and patient satisfaction. The nurse serves as a liaison between patients and providers, administers medications and treatments per RN orders, and completes all assigned tasks. Must be willing to work one night a week and on Saturday a month, and travel to Freehold, Eatontown, Tinton Falls, and Jackson.

• Complies with appropriate physician orders.
• Observes, reports, and assists in meeting patient needs per plan of care.
• Records vital signs, intake and output, and other related responsibilities.
• Supports/reinforces patient teaching and discharge planning.
• Assists patients with personal hygiene, nutrition, and daily activities.
• Appropriately utilizes and cares for technical equipment and supplies.
• Assists physicians with medical treatments, exams, and surgical procedures appropriate to the unit.
• Reports timely and accurate changes in the patient's condition, including vital signs and blood sugars, and turns in assignment sheets for evaluation.
• Adapts work schedule to meet unit needs; floats as required to ensure adequate staffing.
• Participates in emergent situations, reassuring patients and families.
• Completes assignments accurately with appropriate supervisory counseling.
• Completes patient‑related activities within scheduled time periods.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age and needs of patients in the assigned service area.
• Completes data collection, plan of care, and interventions using appropriate data information systems.
• Practices in accordance with the Code of Ethics, Board of Nursing, New Jersey Department of Health regulations, JCAHO, and institutional policies, promoting professional ethics and standards.
• Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
• Adheres to HMH organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Fluency in Spanish preferred.

• Licensed Practical Nurse.
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.

Minimum hourly rate: $28.93. A comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits. Additional compensation may include performance‑based incentives, bonuses, commissions, and shift differentials for evening, night, or weekend shifts.
