Join Our Team as an RN - OR Resource Coordinator at Mercy!
Are you ready to make a difference in the operating room? As the RN - OR Resource Coordinator , you will play a vital role in providing direct nursing care and coordinating patient care within the operating room. Your expertise will ensure an efficient workflow and the readiness of supplies and equipment, all while collaborating with our dedicated surgical teams.
Your Responsibilities:- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as a Registered Nurse.
- Coordinate patient care in collaboration with various departments.
- Organize and implement services in your assigned specialty area.
- Manage workflow efficiently, including room setup and turnover.
- Support department operations and assist in staff orientation.
- Step in as needed to cover breaks and lunches.
Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO
Department: Operating Room
Status: Full-Time - 40 hours/week
Shift: 8 Hour Days (Mon-Fri) with additional call hours

At Mercy, we believe in providing a supportive and collaborative environment. Our OR includes a variety of surgical specialties, and we offer Periop 101 through AORN for new registered nurses. You will work alongside a compassionate team dedicated to ensuring a comforting experience for patients undergoing surgery.
Qualifications:- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of OR RN experience; leadership skills preferred.
- Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school (BSN, Associate's Degree, or Diploma).
- Licensure: Current RN license in Missouri or compact licensure.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS as needed.
- Preferred Certification: CNOR.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds regularly.
- Prolonged standing and walking required each shift.
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat.
