OverviewIn this dynamic position, you will:
- Utilize the nursing process to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Maintain professional accountability for the care of assigned patients.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other caregivers.
- Coordinate patient care in collaboration with other departments.
- Uphold patient rights and confidentiality in all interactions.
- Perform your duties in alignment with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, 1701 Lacey Street, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701
Hours/Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours per week) in the GI Lab
SIGN ON BONUS:RN New Grad: $7,500 (Internal/External)
RN with 1+ years experience: $10,000
QualificationsEducation: Graduated from an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
Licensure: Must maintain a current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.
Experience: Relevant nursing experience preferred.
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.
- Additional certifications may be required based on the unit, including:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurses)
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Other unit-specific certifications as required
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed.
