In this role, you’ll utilize the nursing process to provide exceptional patient care while collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals. Position OverviewLocation: Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO
Department: 5H Surgical
Status: Full-Time - 36 hours/week
Shift: 12 Hour (Days/Nights - TBD)
Your Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Maintain professional accountability for the care of assigned patients.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other caregivers.
- Coordinate patient care with various departments.
- Uphold patient rights and confidentiality at all times.
- Perform duties in alignment with Mercy’s mission, values, and service standards.

- BSN to MSN Bridging Program (up to $16,000).

- RN Loan Forgiveness Program to help with student loan debt.
- Up to $370/month towards loan payments (with a $20,000 cap).
- Must start with Mercy within 12 months of graduation.
- Experience: 1 year of RN experience preferred.
- Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
- Licensure: Must maintain a current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; other unit-specific certifications as needed.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds regularly.
- Prolonged standing and walking required each shift.
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat.
