Roadside Technician - Commercial Tires for Jackson, MS at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. The role can be summarized as an emergency response tire technician for semi-truck fleets. When a customer has a tire-related failure, a Technician is dispatched to the customer's location to repair or change the tire. A Technician is expected to be roadside when performing their job duties.

When there are no service calls, Technicians will be expected to mount orders, clean and organize the shop, and perform other general duties as needed.

• Servicing Commercial Tires including dismounting, mounting, and repairing any type of tire.
• Perform match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout as necessary.
• Inflating of tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements.
• Complying with OSHA regulations and safety requirements including wearing proper PPE, using tire cages, and following all other safety policies and procedures.

• Depends on experience; up to $20/hr.

• There is a mandatory on-call rotation. During an on-call period, technicians are expected to run after-hours service calls at a 95% acceptance rate. After-hours service calls are paid at double-time with a minimum of 2 hours per call. For example, if a technician accepts, arrives, and completes a call in 45 minutes, they will receive an additional 1 hour 15 minutes of double-time pay.

• Valid driver s license and meet commercial driver qualification requirements
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous Commercial Service Tire experience
