The individual chosen for this position will supervise the shift at the Ellisville Community Homes. Ensure that active treatment is being provided, meals are prepared and the home is maintained in a clean and sanitary condition. The individual will write non-technical reports, document behaviors of persons in the home and ensure that all shift events are documented on the cottage log.

Inventory all supplies for the home, supervise the cleaning of all areas of the home and participate in the development of each person’s habilitation plan. Applicant must have a valid Mississippi Driver’s License and a safe driving record as outlined in the Ellisville State School Safety Manual.

Efficient organizational and time management skills. Good oral and written communication skills. Positive work morale. Ability to be flexible in thinking and problem solving. Realistic expectations about the difficulty and challenges of the work. Ability to handle an often-unpredictable work environment.

Typically requires a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) designation and 3–5+ years experience, may require some college credit by hiring agency.
