Typically requires a High School Diploma or high school equivalency.

The individual will be responsible for supervising persons served and implementing individualized training programs in the Snoezelen classroom. They will provide continuous active treatment to all persons served according to their treatment programs and schedules on a daily basis, ensuring opportunities for individual choice, self‑management, and management of money. Recreational activities will be provided as deemed appropriate by the Habilitation Team for all persons served on a daily basis.

Responsibilities also include assisting with feeding at mealtimes, relieving staff during breaks, providing physical care and assistance, accompanying persons served to doctor’s appointments, attending all Workforce Development in‑services, CPR/Mandate recertification, 26 hours of yearly psychology in‑service, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor. The employee must have a valid Mississippi Driver’s License and a safe driving record as outlined in the Ellisville State School Safety Manual.
