Description
The Department of Facilities and Construction Management at Jackson State University is accepting applications for its Plumber I position.

Examples of Duties

• Operate hand tools and power tools associated with the plumbing trade.
• Repair/replace general plumbing equipment, water heaters, pumps, etc.
• Repair work on clogged sewer lines and sanitary plumbing equipment.
• Leads troubleshooting efforts and repair water and gas distribution systems.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Director.

Typical Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must possess a valid Mississippi Driver's License.
• 5 to 7 years' experience in preventive maintenance.
• General working knowledge of maintenance type plumbing and general maintenance repairs.
• Must be capable of reading, comprehending and interpreting mechanical construction installation plans and specifications.
