Job Summary
The Community Specialist is responsible for executing the store’s community strategy. You will engage with the community through relationship building, events, and other activities, support lululemon product seeding, and attend local studios. You will develop and sustain key relationships with lululemon Ambassadors and relevant community partners to provide synergistic value, while delivering a world‑class guest experience and bringing your community perspective into the store.
CoreResponsibilities
- Collaborate with store leadership to bring the community strategy—through community foundations and guest experience—to life.
- Establish and manage local key relationships (e.g., Ambassadors, Sweat Collective, studio owners, lululemon Studio partner studios) to increase new guest acquisition and guest retention.
- Engage with the local community to identify future Ambassador or partner opportunities and to increase the store’s standing as a community hub.
- Connect with guests on the floor to assess their unique needs, provide technical product education, and incorporate omnichannel programs into a seamless end‑to‑end guest experience.
- Attend, support, and/or host local and regional community events.
- Execute the product seeding strategy through community partners and Ambassadors.
- Review community relevant business data and metrics to identify and share insights and recommendations with store leadership regarding community events, projects, or initiatives.
- Contribute to a respectful and inclusive team environment by welcoming and celebrating differences to ensure a supportive, productive, and fun experience for all team members.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country in which the store is located.
- Must have the ability to travel to the assigned store with reliable transportation methods.
- This is a full‑time, in‑store role.
- Work schedule can vary based on store needs.
- Typical shifts: mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- During peak time frames, special events, or other circumstances, the schedule may include early mornings or late nights/overnights for some employees.
- 1 year of cumulative experience in customer service or engagement, grassroots marketing, brand engagement, or community building.
- Education:
High school diploma/GED/equivalent or above. - Experience (nice to have): building or maintaining relationships with clients, groups, or partners; motivating team members to accomplish goals or activities.
