Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations, ensuring a positive customer experience, efficient inventory management, and a well‑trained team. This role involves overseeing daily operations, maintaining store standards, leading the team to achieve sales goals, and building a positive work culture.

• Ensure a welcoming environment by greeting all customers and maintaining store appearance, including displays and signage.
• Train and coach team members to provide exceptional customer service and engagement.
• Oversee inventory flow, including markdowns, ticketing, and clearance management, while maintaining accurate pricing and organized stockrooms. Ensure timely removal of damaged or expired items and set daily/weekly freight goals.
• Train, develop, and provide continuous feedback on customer service, store policies, procedural compliance, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve sales targets. Collaborate with the store manager on effective marketing and promotional campaigns, keeping the store clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Assist Store Manager with daily operations and supervision of employees.
• Maintain proper inventory controls and facilitate inventory transactions, ensuring compliance with shrink‑control standards.
• Monitor sales activities to ensure satisfactory service to customers.
• Direct and supervise employees in sales, inventory‑taking, cash reconciliation, or customer service.
• Ensure staff adherence to all Citi Trends policies and procedures.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of retail experience as an Assistant Manager.
• 3–5 years of retail experience.

• Squat/Kneel/Stoop – frequent to continuous.
• Stand/Bend/Walk – frequent to continuous.
• Twist – occasional to frequent.
• Reach above shoulder – occasional to frequent.
• Lift/Carry – occasional to frequent.
