We're seeking the right candidate for the position of Food Service Cook at Chadwick Community Care Center.

In this vital role, you'll ensure that our residents receive the highest level of care while collaborating with a dedicated team, providing exceptional clinical leadership and support.

• Prepares meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes in a sanitary manner to ensure quality with minimum waste.
• Reviews food menus and work orders to determine the type and quantities of food to be prepared and to identify all foods required for therapeutic diets before preparation.
• Preps, measures and mixes ingredients according to recipes.
• Assists driver with preparation of meals and loading and unloading of items for delivery.
• Portions and arrange food and distribute to waitstaff to be served.
• Follows proper plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes.
• Labels and dates all food items in accordance with food storage chart.
• Receives, checks-in, dates and stocks deliveries in appropriate areas.
• Ensure food products are cooked and served in compliance with State of Louisiana Department of Health sanitation standards.
• Performs the necessary duties for emergency drills and situations such as fire, fire alarms, hurricanes, and other possible emergencies as outlined in the Disaster Response Playbook.
• Interacts with residents/clients and co-workers with patience, understanding and kindness in accordance with the Comm Care Corporation mission and core values.

• Ability to prepare meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes in a sanitary manner.
• Ability to review menus and work orders and identify ingredients for therapeutic diets.
• Experience in prepping, measuring, and mixing ingredients according to recipes.
• Experience with receiving, checking-in and stocking deliveries; ability to load/unload items for delivery.
• Familiarity with proper plate presentation, food labeling and dating according to storage requirements.
• Knowledge of food storage and sanitation standards; ability to ensure compliance with the State of Louisiana Department of Health sanitation standards.
• Ability to participate in emergency drills and respond to drills per the Disaster Response Playbook.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills aligned with company mission and core values.
