• Assists physician or APP in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient needs during examinations, treatments and emergency situations.
• Assists physician or APP with diagnostic/therapeutic procedures, ensuring procedures are performed in a safe, clean, competent manner.
• Maintains a clean, safe, well‑stocked patient care area, including patient examination rooms.
• Administers oral, rectal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications and/or injections.
• Maintains accurate, legible medical records reflecting the patient’s condition, medication, treatment, and other pertinent information.
• Provides telephone triage/communication, orders prescriptions, and orders diagnostic studies as defined by protocol or physician instructions.
• Thoroughly educates and explains procedures to patients and family members, assisting them in coping with illnesses and hospitalizations.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding patient and office functions.
• Demonstrates positive customer‑service orientation.
• Functions independently and assumes responsibility for actions in clinical procedures in accordance with ability and training after clinical ability has been demonstrated.
• Maintains working knowledge of business office protocol and procedures.
• Assists in identifying methods of improving patient care.
• Seeks out and pursues educational opportunities.
• Obtains continuing education units to maintain licensure.
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• Experience in a Neurology setting preferred.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• BLS certification.
