Registered Nurse RN Surgical Services OR Weekend Only Part Time - Jackson
Join the Intraoperative Services Team (OR) at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital!
This is a Weekend Only position - 2 - 12 hour shifts between 7am - 7:30pm
On-call requirement - 1 day per week, 1 weekend per 5 week schedule. Rotating holiday requirement.
Candidate Preferences:
Circulating OR experience. If no OR experience, must have a minimum of 1 year inpatient RN experience or experience working in a surgical environment and be willing to complete a 4-6 month orientation/training period during the week.
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within 3 years of hire
- Completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 5 years of hire
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES
REQUIRED:
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Professional Certifications to support a culture of nursing excellence
