Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Jackson, MS

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Pay: $19.00 – $25.00 per hour (depending on experience)

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support production operations by performing machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and capable of diagnosing and resolving equipment issues in a manufacturing environment.

• Perform emergency and scheduled repairs on production equipment

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot production machinery

• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs

• Prepare and install machinery for new production lines or processes

• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders

• Use cutting torch and arc welding equipment when necessary

• Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety procedures

• High school diploma or GED required

• Technical training or experience with industrial equipment preferred

• At least 2 years of experience working with production machinery

• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills

• Ability to work independently and solve problems efficiently

This position is in a manufacturing environment where employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration, fumes, and loud noise. The role requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting materials up to 50 lbs regularly. __
