Job Description
As a CNC Machine operator, you will read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
Responsibilities- Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
- Set stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.
- Position the workpiece against stops or align layout marks with die or blade.
- Push buttons or depress pedal to activate the machine.
- Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.
- Measure workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from the workpiece with powered hand tools.
- Perform minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces.
- Make minor program changes, properly save, and check them.
- Set up the machine, stack, mark, pack, and transport finished work pieces.
- Rivet and/or spot weld work pieces.
- Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
- Convey materials from storage or work sites to a designated area.
- Secure materials from storage or work sites to a designated area.
- Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information containers.
- Make simple adjustments and perform routine preventive maintenance.
- Assemble crates or boxes to contain products such as machines or vehicles.
- CLEAN work area, spillage, and equipment as required.
- High School Graduate or GED.
- 1+ years of assembly experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
- Ability to use tools and equipment necessary for the job.
- Good listening and communication skills.
- Ability to work well with others as a team player.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical DemandsRegularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. Frequently required to walk. Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and frequently lift and move up to 30 pounds. Close vision required.

SalaryThe hourly rate for this role is in the range of $22.00–$24.50 an hour. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Benefits include health, welfare, and retirement, available at
