Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking an Operations Manager at our Jackson, MS facility!
This is an onsite position. Relocation is open throughout the US to the Jackson, MS area.

The Jackson facility has approximately 500 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacturing and delivery of aerospace hydraulic components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $141,000 - $207,000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note that salary information shown above is a general guideline only; salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What You’ll Do

This role reports directly to the Plant Manager and is responsible for overall leadership for site operations in Jackson, MS, including the machine shop, OEM, and Final Operations. The manager will lead manufacturing teams to achieve production schedule, product quality, product cost, and employee safety goals, drive performance and deploy continuous improvement framework (CIF) to meet or exceed financial plans, employee engagement and strategic goals, and create a high‑performance culture.

This Function You Will
  • Manage and direct all site manufacturing activities to ensure completion of customer requirements.
  • Be responsible for key measures: sales, safety (TRCR, DACR), quality (DPPM), on‑time delivery, productivity, and first pass yield.
  • Assess performance indicators and take appropriate actions to ensure schedule, cost and quality goals are met.
  • Ensure policies, procedures, and documentation are followed to maintain consistent and compliant manufacturing.
  • Provide leadership and commitment in support of continuous improvements in quality, productivity and delivery performance.
  • Support product design during the new product introduction phase to meet customer manufacturing delivery times.
  • Address environmental, health, and safety issues in line with local regulations, Eaton policy and corporate citizenship.
  • Develop budgets and resource plans, monitor performance, and achieve product delivery and cost requirements.
  • Coordinate and assist with plant initiatives; participate on teams to drive best practices across the enterprise.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources to resolve labor relations issues within production.
  • Achieve labor productivity and lead cost reduction efforts to drive factory cost out.
  • Champion implementation of MESH to improve year‑over‑year safety performance measures.
  • Maintain knowledge of product‑support data (repair manuals, parts lists, service bulletins, price catalogs, etc.) to provide customer support and identify business opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with Component Maintenance Manuals and other work instructions to maintain FAA and customer approval.
  • Provide vision and strategy for OEM, spares, machine shop, and aftermarket operations to inspire teams to improved performance, engagement, and retention.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing a manufacturing organization.
  • Access to export‑controlled information is required; the applicant must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
  • Relocation to the Jackson, MS area is open; candidate must reside within the hiring country.
Preferred Qualifications
  • APICS certification.
  • CSCP Certification (Certified Supply Chain Professional).
  • Change‑management skills.
  • Knowledge of material planning systems (MRP/ERP) and order generation process logic.
  • Understanding of supply‑chain management operational concepts (production planning, scheduling, purchasing, supplier selection, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations, shipping/receiving).
  • Technical or business master’s degree desired.
  • Prior experience in a unionized environment preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment complying with FAA regulations for a repair station.
