We're seeking the right candidate for the position of Painter / Maintenance Staff at Manhattan Community Care Center. In this vital role, you'll ensure that our residents receive the highest level of care while collaborating with a dedicated team, providing exceptional clinical leadership and support.

What You Bring to the Table:

Essential Qualifications:

• Preparing surfaces (sanding, scraping).
• Applying paint, varnish, and, in some cases, protective industrial coatings.
• Operating spray machines, rollers, and brushes.
• Perform routine maintenance (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry).
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Conduct regular facility inspections.
• Ensure health and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with team members for repairs.
• Manage and order supplies.
• Keep detailed maintenance records.

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate:

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2-5 years building maintenance experience.
• Prior work experience in a healthcare facility (nursing home or hospital) is preferred.
• Basic understanding of painting, general repair, electrical, plumbing, and/or HVAC systems.
• Ability to repair minor mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of safety requirements and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills.

Other Qualifications

• Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Must be able to bend, stretch and reach for extended periods of time.
