Senior Video Engineer

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Designed and implemented scalable video acquisition solutions, streaming protocols, and network transport methods
• Installed and configured satellite and IP-based video equipment
• Monitored IPTV services and analyzed real-time and historical data to identify and resolve quality issues
• Collaborated with network teams to optimize video transport and address network-related problems
• Led system upgrades involving new standards
• Implemented security protocols and ensured compliance with content-provider requirements
• Oversaw end-to-end acquisition and ingest of live and VOD content prior to handoff to headend systems
• Rare travel required within the Miami–Ft. Lauderdale–West Palm Beach area (not to exceed 5% of working time)
• Required:
  
  U.S. bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
• Required:
  
  24 months of experience in video acquisition, IPTV, or broadcast engineering with a focus on satellite, IP, and fiber video transport
