Field Engineer

Job Overview

Field Engineer 3 – Computer Support Technician located in Jackson, MS area. 12‑month contract with potential extension to permanent. The role requires U.S. citizenship.

Mon – Fri, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• Computer hardware set up, maintenance, and troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, and servers.
• Support software and networking for end‑user systems.
• Maintain legacy products and core server platforms.
• Perform disk replacement on enterprise storage products.
• Install and maintain PCs, associated software, networks, servers, and peripherals.
• Support network products from operational and maintenance perspectives.
• Execute installs, moves, adds, and changes as required.
• Test and certify PCs, networks, servers, and client‑approved applications.
• Follow‑up on problems or escalation and document updates in the ticketing system.
• Maintain a high degree of professionalism and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Meet client‑specific Service Level Agreements and keep incident tickets updated.

• 1–3 years of computer support experience.
• Basic hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of desktop & laptop computers, printers, network devices, standard software, and low‑end servers.
• Experience with re‑loading & re‑imaging PCs/laptops, and installing and optimizing HW/SW networking products.
• Good work ethic, organizational skills, and ability to follow a help desk or script.
• A+ Certification is a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. citizen.
