Title: Technical Project Manager
Location: Jackson, MS
A Technical Project Manager leads complex software initiatives from planning through delivery while maintaining a strong grasp of both project management fundamentals and technical execution. This role ensures projects stay on schedule and within scope while guiding development teams and keeping stakeholders aligned. The position plays a key role in delivering reliable, high-quality enterprise solutions.
Your role:
Build and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and milestone tracking for enterprise software initiatives.
Monitor timelines, budgets, and scope, adjusting plans proactively to maintain delivery commitments.
Lead the full software development lifecycle from requirements through post-implementation support.
Translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and ensure clear communication across teams.
Produce executive dashboards, reports, and status updates that reflect current progress and risk.
Establish and track metrics related to delivery velocity, code quality, testing coverage, and system uptime.
Coordinate closely with development, QA, Dev Sec Ops , and product teams to support successful releases.
Identify resource constraints or imbalances and recommend adjustments to protect timelines and quality.
Prepare and present current-state and future-state analyses to technical teams and senior leadership.
What you ve got:
At least six years of experience managing enterprise software projects from planning through implementation.
Strong understanding of project management principles including critical path methodology, risk management, scope control, and constraint analysis.
Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Project for complex, multi-year and high-value initiatives.
Hands-on experience with Azure Dev Ops or Jira for task creation, tracking, and reporting at a detailed level.
Proven ability to define and manage project metrics that support milestone tracking and effort forecasting.
Experience identifying resource overages, shortages, and schedule risks within large project plans.
Deep familiarity with SDLC methodologies including Agile, iterative, and Waterfall approaches.
Ability to support all phases of delivery including analysis, design, build, deployment, testing, and UAT.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and executive audiences.
PMP certification preferred.
