Overview

A Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing large datasets to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role transforms raw data into meaningful insights through reports, dashboards, and visualizations that enable stakeholders to understand trends, performance, and business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, clean, validate, and prepare data from multiple internal and external sources.
  • Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, correlations, and anomalies.
  • Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations for business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business users to define metrics, KPIs, and reporting requirements.
  • Perform statistical analysis, forecasting, and basic modeling to support decision-making.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across reporting and analytics processes.
  • Document data definitions, methodologies, workflows, and reporting logic.
  • Translate complex analytical results into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Maintain, enhance, and optimize data visualization tools and reporting platforms.
  • Support ad-hoc reporting requests and executive-level analytics.
  • Validate data sources and reconcile discrepancies between systems.
  • Participate in data governance initiatives and promote best practices in data usage.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, automation, and reporting efficiency.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and performance analysis.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence roles.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with structured datasets and relational databases.
Preferred Skills / Duties
  • Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis, automation, and statistical modeling.
  • Experience with big data platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, or cloud-based analytics tools.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into data models and reporting solutions.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
