Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Senior Power BI Developer with 8+ years of experience in business intelligence and analytics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards, building scalable data models, implementing security, and working closely with business stakeholders. This role requires strong Power BI, SQL, and data visualization skills, along with experience in Agile environments.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and publish high-quality Power BI reports and dashboards that meet business needs
- Build and maintain Power BI data models, ensuring scalability, accuracy, and performance
- Apply best practices for data visualization, report usability, and performance optimization
- Implement security and access controls, including Row-Level Security (RLS), to meet organizational standards
- Embed Power BI dashboards into applications using Power BI Embedded
- Partner with Business Analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into analytical solutions
- Perform code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor other BI developers
- Troubleshoot report, dataset, and performance issues; proactively optimize existing solutions
- Create, modify, and optimize SQL Server tables, views, and queries to support reporting needs
- Work within Agile/Scrum methodologies, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Evaluate and recommend self-service BI and dashboarding tools
- Estimate development effort, manage priorities, and consistently meet delivery timelines
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Work independently while contributing positively as part of a collaborative team
- 8+ years in BI, analytics, and dashboard development
- Advanced Power BI skills: DAX, Power Query (M), Data Modeling, Row-Level Security (RLS)
- Experience integrating multiple data sources into Power BI
- Strong SQL Skills (SQL Server Preferred), Including Query Optimization
- Solid understanding of data visualization principles
- Experience with Power BI Embedded
- Hands‑on experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Self‑starter, adaptable to changing priorities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Certification
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure (Azure AD, Azure services)
- Knowledge of data security and access control concepts
- Prior experience mentoring or leading BI developers
