JobOverview
To deliver professional, therapeutic and rejuvenating massage therapies and body treatments to spa guests while being a productive and active team member of the Spa.
Key Responsibilities- Call in to confirm all appointments scheduled for the day.
- Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the first appointment and be available within one hour during any shift.
- Greet guests with a smile, maintain eye contact, and use the guest’s surname.
- Ensure guests fully understand the service, are comfortable, and do not diagnose medical conditions.
- Provide quality, safe, consistent, and ethical massage; check regularly for guest comfort and adjust pressure, temperature, light, and music as needed.
- Offer water to guests at the end of each service.
- Clean work areas after treatment, leaving rooms presentable for the next guest and staff member.
- Complete side work such as separating linens, wiping counters, refilling oil bottles, and cleaning hot cabbies.
- Adjust table height for ergonomic standards.
- Participate in required training and attend all monthly/quarterly staff meetings.
- Check in with Spa Concierge/Front Desk Attendant when arriving and leaving the spa.
- Abide by National Board of Massage Certification regulations and any higher local/state standards.
- Perform at least two guest contact services per month and participate in marketing activities, such as chair massage and event attendance, where required.
- Must be able to communicate in English.
- Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
- Communicate well with guests and resolve problems promptly.
- Willing to pitch in and assist co‑workers; be a team player.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with associates, customers, and patrons.
- Hold local and/or state certification or license.
- Minimum 200 hours of massage education and 2 years of professional experience preferred.
