Job Description:

This role involves providing nursing care in a 32-bed hematology oncology unit. The position requires working within typical nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6, adjusted for higher acuity patients. The nurse will have opportunities to learn chemotherapy administration and must be comfortable with lines, chest tubes, and working with hem/onc patients.

Responsibilities:

• Administer nursing care to patients with hematology/oncology conditions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with central monitoring stations.
• Comply with weekends and holiday rotation requirements.

Requirements:

• BLS Certification.
• Level 1 trauma experience required and experience at a larger facility with high acuity patients.
• EPIC charting proficiency is required.
• Comfortable with titrating heparin drips, with potential to manage amiodarone drips.
