About the Agency:
The Mississippi Division of Medicaid responsibly provides access to quality health coverage for vulnerable Mississippians. Medicaid provides health coverage for eligible, low-income populations in Mississippi. These populations include children, low-income families, pregnant women, the aged, and the disabled.

Responsibilities
  • The Quality Director will lead the agency's quality improvement activities.
  • Collaborate with FFS and MSCAN operations, contractors, and agency leadership to ensure compliance with CMS reporting requirements.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the agency's Quality Strategy.
  • Support internal and external quality initiatives that promote improved health outcomes, data-driven decision making, and alignment with state and federal quality standards.
  • Report directly to the Deputy Director of Health Services. This is a Non-State (X-16) position.
Qualifications

What you’ll need to be successful:
This position requires significant base knowledge of healthcare and CMS quality reporting programs, and the ability to navigate complex public health policy while building collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree, six (6) + years of experience, and two (2) to four (4) years of supervisory experience; experience in Medicaid or other complex public health programs; working knowledge of HEDIS, NCQA, Managed Care Organizations and CMS Quality Reporting; strong skills in data interpretation, performance management and healthcare analytics; leadership experience in healthcare quality improvement programs; clinician with program management experience;

familiarity with managed care operations and oversight; knowledge of statistical software and data visualization tools (e.g., SAS, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
