ResponsibilitiesThis is a time-limited (NS-14) position with the Mississippi Department of Health in Hinds County
. The incumbent will be trained to use the systems that are available exclusively to CDC Immunization awardees. On completion of this training, the incumbent will guide providers within an assigned region of the state through the enrollment process into the VFC Program. This includes enrolling providers new to the program, completing annual recertifications and miscellaneous information updates of already enrolled providers.
Use customer service skills to develop a good working relationship with providers and Immunization Field Team. Additional responsibilities will include on-boarding users of the Mississippi Immunization Information eXchange (MIIX) system, including resetting passwords. Assisting parents, guardians, and patients with accessing their immunization records on MyIR Mobile, to include troubleshooting issues and making corrections to patient records, as appropriate. Other duties may be assigned as required by emerging public health threats involving vaccine preventable disease, or other activities required to support the Office of Immunization.
you’ll need to be Successful
Familiarity with HIPAA and Privacy Laws to include understanding practical application in day-to-day operations. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Office, Word, Excel, and Teams). Excellent customer service skills. Experience with other softwares and the ability to learn new systems. Individual who is excited to support the Agency Mission to protect and advance the health, well-being and safety of everyone in Mississippi.
Preferred QualificationsTypically requires a bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years of experience. Hiring agency preferred qualifications: a bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Office, Word, Excel, and Teams). Administrative and/or Customer Service experience
