DescriptionJob Summary:
Reviews clinical outpatient records to assign diagnosis, procedures and modifier codes using 3M coding software. Accurately sequences codes according to departmental and AHIMA guidelines. Ensures records are coded in accurate and timely manner.
- One-year formal education beyond high school.
- Medical terminology preferred.
- Pro Fee experience required.
- Must pass the Clerical Ability Test with an overall score of 80%.
- Typing speed of 25 WPM.
- Previous work history that demonstrates steady attendance and punctuality is required.
- RHIA, RHIT, CCA, CCS, CCC-P, or COC credential preferred
