Job Summary
Performs imaging procedures/treatments according to radiology practice standards to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrates thorough understanding of radiologic principles/theory and utilizes appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments, as demonstrated by results.
- Develops an appropriate procedure/treatment plan and implements it using established hospital protocols/guidelines.
- Completes required documentation to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintains equipment, procedure rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition.
- Participates in performance improvement activities to ensure consistent patient care standards.
- Completes assigned goals.
Preferred/Desired:
Recent experience as a Sonographer.
Minimum
Required:
Registered by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and/or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or new graduate waiting to take registry. Proof of registry must be available within 120 calendar days of graduation. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 14 days of hire.
