Responsibilities- Supporting Navigator access points and assisting staff to ensure effective service delivery;
- Training Navigator site sponsors, job seekers, and public partners on Navigator functionality;
- Guiding job seekers through MS Works, WIOA Title III Wagner-Peyser programs, and Mississippi labor market information to connect them with meaningful opportunities;
- Facilitating training and deployment of Navigator digital access tools statewide to expand virtual service delivery;
- Auditing Navigator calls, placements, and usage to evaluate efficiency and report workforce trends;
- Delivering presentations to stakeholders on Navigator's usefulness and impact;
- Monitoring Navigator technical and virtual capacities, reporting issues and successes to leadership.
This position is essential to advancing MDES's mission of “Helping Mississippians Get Jobs.” By supporting Navigator access points, enhancing agency delivery systems, and expanding virtual services statewide, the role strengthens MDES's ability to respond to workforce needs, leverage technology to reach more citizens, and deliver consistent, high‑quality service across Mississippi.

What you'll need to be SuccessfulMust possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills with excellent communication abilities. Ability to work with the public, provide training, and deliver group presentations. Requires effective time management, organizational skills, computer proficiency, and thorough knowledge of MS Works, with the ability to adapt to digital tools and evaluate program effectiveness. Must also possess outstanding computer skills that include proficiency with internet-based applications and email.
Preferred QualificationsTypically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 2-4 years of experience. Agency preferred qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four‑year college or university and three (3) years of experience related to the described duties.
