About the AgencyThe Mississippi Department of Finance and Administration is the agency responsible for State government financial and administrative operations including employee payroll, vendor payments, employee insurance, construction, maintenance, and protection of State buildings in the Capitol Complex, financial information management systems, management of the State’s vehicle fleet, and numerous other related activities.
This position is a Non-State Service position as the Director of the Bond Advisory Division responsible for managing the issuance of public debt in the municipal marketplace to fund capital and economic development projects. The division also maintains complete, accurate and timely records pertaining to the State of Mississippi’s debt obligations.
What You'll Need to Be Successful- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Ability to solve complex issues through excellent problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to interpret language from legislation.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
- 10 years of accounting or related experience.
